Proven behaviors instead of programming
No aquarist wants experiments on a living tank. A preset is ready-made, tested logic built into the controller — with a full set of safeguards as standard. You enter your values (temperatures, hours, milliliters) and Oquari takes care of the rest. You can fine-tune everything later — but you don't have to.
Heating — two sensors and an emergency cutoff
Holds the target temperature with hysteresis, guided by two independent sensors — when they disagree, heating stops. On top of that, an independent emergency threshold: if the temperature keeps rising anyway (say, a stuck heater), the heater's power is cut and you get an alarm.
Cooling — fans ramp smoothly, the chiller steps in
When things get too warm, the fans spin up smoothly first — the warmer it gets, the faster they run. If that's not enough, the chiller joins in, with minimum run and rest times that protect the compressor. Above the maximum threshold — an alarm.
ATO — top-off with time and volume limits
A sensor detects a low level and starts the top-off pump, while a flow meter confirms water is really flowing. The safeguards: a per-cycle time limit, a daily volume limit and a hard stop at the maximum level sensor — if anything doesn't add up, the preset shuts the pump off and raises an alarm instead of flooding your home.
Water change — measure, drain, refill, watch over
You enter liters per week — the controller splits them into small portions: it drains an amount measured by the flow meter, waits for the level to stabilize, and refills with fresh water. In marine tanks — only ready saltwater with probe-verified salinity. Parameters never jump, and the bucket stays in the closet.
CO2 — a pH-guided valve, in rhythm with the light
The pH probe drives the CO2 valve: a falling pH means enough — the valve closes; a rise opens it again. Dosing starts ahead of sunrise and ends before dusk, while a hard lower pH limit and a cutoff on probe trouble protect your livestock regardless of the control loop.
Dosing — doses in portions, spacing between liquids
Up to four channels (Ca/KH/Mg on a reef, macro/micro in a planted tank): for each pump you set a daily dose and a time window, and the preset splits it into portions and keeps the spacing between different liquids. A hard daily limit and empty-container detection come as standard.
Light — ramps, moonlight, siesta, storm
Light rises smoothly at dawn and fades gradually in the evening, instead of snapping from 0 to 100%. Add moonlight following the real phases, a midday siesta break for planted tanks, a storm effect for the reef — and a power cap while new livestock acclimates.
Waves — sine, pulses, tidal mode
Wave programs for circulation pumps: constant flow, sine, pulses, random waves, and tidal mode with two pump groups taking turns to dominate. Night mode calms the flow along with the light plan, and current sensors detect dry running and a jammed impeller.
Feeding — pumps paused with one button
A button on the device, an app command or the auto feeder schedule: wave pumps and filtration pause, dosing waits, the auto feeder dispenses a portion — and after the set time everything returns to work on its own. There's no such thing as "forgot to turn the pumps back on".
Water alarms — leak → shutoff + siren + push
Leak sensors under the tank, in the cabinet and by the reserve tank. The moment water is detected, top-off, dosing and water changes stop, the solenoid valves close and the alarm goes off: a signal on the device, an external siren and a phone notification.
